A lesson from an owl

“A wise old owl lived in an oak.
The more he saw, the less he spoke".
The less he spoke, the more he heard,
why aren’t we all like that old bird?”

I found this quote a few years back reading about John D. Rockefeller. He would repeat it often, though it’s not his.

“Punch” magazine in London first published it back in 1875. It has since been misattributed and popularized by many different figures and groups. The US Military even hijacked it and repurposed it during World War II:
