Today’s Quote

“The greatest danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it.” – Michelangelo

Creating New Years resolutions is a tricky thing. It can be a mix of cynical reflection and rosy-eyed optimism. Chances are you didn’t hit your 2025 goals but are excited for a fresh new year of opportunity. So how optimistic or realistic should you be when forecasting for this year?

According to Michelangelo, sobriety has no place when taking aim on your life’s ambitions.

You can object to his advice but you can’t argue with his results. Michelangelo created the Pietà and David before he was 30. He is the artist behind arguably the two most famous frescoes in the world with the Creation of Adam on the ceiling and The Last Judgement on the altar wall of the Sistine Chapel. Add in a list of iconic buildings he architected and his resumé is second to none.

Aim too high this year.
