What is now known as Amazon, was initially called Cadabra, short for abracadabra. Jeff Bezos’ business partners told him to reconsider the company name, and he briefly decided to call it Relentless. He even bought the domain before quickly settling on Amazon.

Two decades-plus later, he still owns the domain, and it routes you directly to Amazon.com
