A musician must make music, an artist must paint, a poet must write, if he is to be ultimately at peace with himself. What a man can be, he must be. He must be true to his own nature” -Abraham Maslow

Word to the wise, as you go about your life’s work make sure you slap your name on it. Abraham Maslow understood this. When he created a conceptual pyramid of motivation he had the wherewithal to name it “Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs”. You may call it narcissism, I call it generational branding.

At the tip-top of the pyramid is “Self Actualization”. After all other needs have been met, man must carve his unique drawing on the cave of life. Go and whittle away.

Just make sure you sign your name next to it.
