Do it tired
“The difference between winning and losing lies in your ability to suffer for what you want. It isn’t for everyone, and that’s what makes success so rare. It filters out the pretenders, leaving only the relentless, the unbreakable. If you’re not willing to bleed, to endure, and to claw your way forward while others quit, then success isn’t for you. If you can’t fight through exhaustion, step aside. Let someone who’s willing to pay the price take your place” -Khabib Nurmagomedov
The reality is there is no shortage of people who want to win.
A promotion at work, crossing the finish line of a marathon, or walking across the stage at graduation. Visualizing it is easy. No one falters in picturing the romantic ending, the daily mundane baby steps is what erodes away your dreams.
You’re going to be busy, you’re going to doubt, and you’re going to be tired.
So do it tired.
Khabib was no stranger to winning. He retired from his UFC career on top, boasting an undefeated record. He also paid the price each day to ensure he was ready to compete. Even from a young age, he had the makings of a champion. Check out this video as a boy wrestling a bear:
