Do Something Worth Reading
“Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing” -Benjamin Franklin
Did you know Benjamin Franklin was a gifted swimmer?
We talk all about his intellect and the kites and lightning, but Benjamin Franklin probably would have been quite the triathlete today. When he was 19 years old, he swam 3.5 miles from Chelsea to Blackfriars, all while performing tricks for the onlooking crowd. He seriously contemplated staying in England and opening a swimming school.
Thank goodness he didn’t. Franklin embodied both parts of this quote, writing and doing feats that still amaze us today. So much so, that most of us don’t even realize how much he actually wrote and did.
