Eat the Chicken or Don't
Time will pass either way
“Do you know how old I will be by the time I learn to really play the piano/act/paint/write a decent play? Yes… The same age you will be if you don’t. So let’s start.”
-Julia Cameron
A Quote a Day exists because Julia Cameron singed my eyebrows with quotes like these. One of the worst excuses to not pursue a passion or dream is because your self identified “golden years” have passed.
Sam Walton opened the first Walmart in 1962, he was 44.
Samuel L. Jackson was 46 (recovering from a crack cocaine addiction) when he had his breakout role in Pulp Fiction.
Charles Darwin published his first book at the age of 50.
Colonel Harland Sanders brought us Kentucky Fried Chicken at the young age of 65.
And Peter Mark Roget created the first ever thesaurus at 73.
There are businesses to run, movies to be shot, and chicken to be eaten. Do it or don’t, the time will pass either way.
