The Wright Brothers conquered the skies, but the first tales of man achieving flight appeared nearly 5,000 years ago.
Robert Goddard is known as the father of modern rocketry. He dedicated his life to space travel after reading “War of the Worlds” as a teenager.
And it should come as no surprise that Star Treks communicators inspired Martin Cooper to create the mobile phone.
