“Creativity is a function of the library in your head”
-Tinker Hatfield
The man who saved Nike. Don’t believe me? Phil Knight the founder of the company said so himself [1].
Tinker Hatfield is the designer behind the Nike Air Max line, made Michael Keaton’s Batman boots [2], and most notably designed the bulk of the Air Jordan shoes[3].
Hatfield pulled his inspiration from snooty furniture salesmen, water skiing, and a shark painted on the side of a fighter jet [4]. This led to the Air Safaris, Huaraches, and Jordan 5s. Tinker’s library doesn’t discriminate, he knows ingenuity can come from anywhere, so neither should you.
