Unteachable Lessons

“People are frugal in guarding their personal property; but as soon as it comes to squandering time they are most wasteful of the one thing in which it is right to be stingy” -Seneca

I’ve been thinking a lot about this video from Chris Williamson about unteachable lessons.

At the top of his list is the age-old adage ‘Money doesn’t buy happiness’. People hear this advice and either don’t believe it or say ‘that may be true but I’m going to find out for myself just to be sure’.

There’s certain stoves that just have to be touched for us to realize they’re hot. The abuse of time is a particular hot burner.
