You may know Jensen now that NVIDIA has a market cap north of three trillion dollars, but back in 1996 NVIDIA was staring death in the eyes.

They were a month away from a product launch that would make or break the company. Desperation and fervor were in the air.

The team rose to the occasion, and the launch was a success.

Jensen quickly recognized the experience as an incredible driver of focus and innovation.
From that moment on, Jensen adopted an unofficial company slogan that he would repeat at the start of each meeting “Our company is thirty days from going out of business”.
