‘I can’t do _____ because _____ may happen’ is a Mad Lib that we all fill in each day. You probably have a dozen great reasons why swinging for the fences or going all in is a losing strategy.

Hedging for the downside seems like a great strategy. If you don’t take any risks, nothing truly bad can happen to you.

Only problem is nothing truly great can happen either.
