You're fake and that's fine
"I have noticed that people who claim everything is predestined, and we can do nothing to change it, look both ways before crossing the road" -Stephen Hawking
Somewhere along the line we stopped calling people hypocrites and instead lovingly diagnosed them with cognitive dissonance. Yes, there’s a difference between the terms but people use them synonymously. It also just sounds fancier to use words like cognitive dissonance than simply saying “you’re fake”.
The reality is we are all cognitively dissonant and even objecting to this statement makes you guilty of it. The real problem is being overly certain of beliefs you don’t even fully follow yourself.
Simply put we’re all fake and that’s fine, just lose the sharp elbows.
