100 Quotes

Yesterday marked 100 days of Quote a Day! It’s been a blast writing and sharing each day. In honor of this milestone I’d like to re-highlight a couple of my favorites:

Hold the Inner Flame
“It's easy to be a naive idealist. It's easy to be a cynical realist. It's quite another thing to have no illusions and still hold the inner flame.”- Marie-Louise von Franz

The hopeful realist is a great archetype to pursue. The day I sent this quote, I received two text messages within a minute of each other. One expressing how much they loved it, the other how much they hated it.

 The good we don’t do
"Every man is guilty of all the good he did not do." -Voltaire

This is my favorite quote right now. I have written it on the whiteboard next to my desk at work. To self-perceive your own ability to do good and then hold yourself to that standard is a beautiful thing.

Kill Me, But Don’t Over Cook Me
"Turn me over, I'm done on this side" -Saint Lawrence

I typically prefer quotes that can stand on their own, but this one is an exception. Anyone who has the poise to troll the mob as they are burned alive is someone worth celebrating. Go give it a read if you haven’t had the chance yet.

I want to hear from you, what quotes have you enjoyed? What do you want to see more of? I look forward to the next 100 days!
